The Cwtch

Part of the original Cross Keys Inn, built around 1832, The Cwtch is everything a Welsh dining room should be. Exposed stone walls, heavy beams, and a log burning fireplace that makes every table feel like the best seat in the house.

It's the kind of room that takes the edge off a cold evening before the food even arrives.

The Garden Room

Light, contemporary, and looking out over our award-winning courtyard and walled garden, The Garden Room has a relaxed energy that suits everything from a midweek dinner to a birthday celebration.

A modern feel in a building with nearly 200 years of history — it's a combination that works.

Please note: as intimate spaces, neither dining room is suitable for dogs.

The Walled Garden

Summer dining · Walk-ins welcome · Dogs welcome

When the sun shows up in Blaenavon, so do we. Our walled garden — with its lawned area, upper terrace and covered courtyard — opens for walk-in customers through the summer months.

We grow some of our own produce here: salad leaves, tomatoes, radishes, rhubarb. What comes out of this garden often ends up on your plate.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the garden, where they'll find plenty of space — and a bowl of freshly cooked chicken if they've earned it.
